Come and visit the Staffordshire Hoard, at The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, the largest ever find of Anglo Saxon treasure, valued at over £3m. The whole collection is 1800 gold and silver artefacts and 80 of these are on display at the Museum. The exhibition is free of charge to attend and it is now a permanent display.
The Guildhall Museum - Rochester / Medway
The Guildhall Museum was built in 1687 and is one of the finest 17th-century civic buildings in Kent. Its staircase and main hall have magnificent plaster ceilings, given in 1695 by Admiral Sir Cloudsley Shovell, who was the Member of Parliament for the city of Rochester at the time.
